2. Metro Trans Umbrella Group

The Metro Trans Umbrella Group is a grassroots non-profit organization which is persistent and committed in the creation of supportive community in Saint Louis. The murder figure of a Tran’s gender is alarming, which is 1 every 29 hours. They work diligently to minimize the violence to zero by empowering the leaders and supporting the cause bringing together the transgender Community in the St. Louis metro area.

DCATS (DC Area Transmasculine Society) was founded in late 1990’s, first as a monthly support group but eventually transformed into a Trans-led organization. This organization provides services for the change and help in advancing the lives of Transmasculine Identities.

They endeavor to facilitate them with the resources to eradicate the barriers related to health, society and economy. According to Gender Wiki, Transmasculine is a term used to describe transgender people who were assigned female at birth, but identify with masculinity to a greater extent than with femininity.

The Frederick Center is a well-known 501c3 organization for LGBTQ, which stands for (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer) located in Maryland.

7. Scottish Trans

Scottish Trans Alliance is located in Scotland which is the Equality Network Project. They work in the betterment of gender identity and gender reassignment and their rights.

The Scottish Government Equality Unit is funding the Scottish Trans Alliance Project since 2007. 10. SASG

SASG - Seattle Area Support Groups & Community Center established in 1984 is a non-profit corporation which is well-supported community who bring together people with shared identity problems. This community of peers is grouped with shared emotional experience and brings support for each other. The group also provides services to the LGBTQ community to face their mental, emotional, behavioral issues and any chronic illness they have.

As signed into amendment of Articles of Incorporation effective 20th day of July, 2004 and then updated by a special meeting of the Board of Directors on the 17th day of April 2016, the purpose of the corporation is to provide outreach and direct support services to:

1) Western Washington gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, and sexual minority communities with friends and family.

2) Those suffering from or affected by temporary or chronic mental health, chemical or behavioral addiction, or chronic illnesses such as HIV/AIDS or other sexually transmitted diseases.

3) The work is done in a spirit of safety, trust, inclusiveness, and celebration of individual differences.
